I hope all of your son's and daughters are fine, and i'm so proud to be a part of your adventures. please help me through this Timothy is my only son so i tend to worry, but not as much as i thought i would be. I know that God and all of your sailors are with him. man after seeing that graduation i felt the power and might of the U.S. Navy what a proud day that was. well hope to hear from someone son. please bear with me, and help me along. thank you.

Timothy you will make it through. It is tough on us all. From boot camp my son went to A school in Pensacola. He absolutely loved it there. Plus Timothy will be able to call you daily now. I am 4 hours from P'cola and when my son graduated top of his class he had the first choice on where to be stationed. He chose San Diego which is a long way from home. It devastated his mother and I. But who can blame him. I bet it's nice there. We will just have to cope with our children's choices and hope they are for the best. My son is now on his cruise so our only contact is pretty much emails. I wish I could say it gets easier but it's hard to beleive that he's really gone. We are praying that we will just get to see him over Christmas holidays. I don't know how it will be if he doesn't make it home for the holidays. That's why this site is here. To help one another with adapting with our childrens new choice in life. We will be here for you. Timothy and my son as well will be fine in the Navy. They will take good care of them I promise. We will just have to take advantage of the times we will get to see them over the next four years. Keep me posted on how he's doing and you as well.
Timothy:
Please ask questions. There are lots of folks here that have the same felings that you do. My son Andrew graduated from Electricians Mate A school in September and has moved on to C school at Naval Air station Whidbey Island, Washington. By mid january he will be at his first permenant duty stationb at the Marine
Base Hawaii. Half a world away! I'd like to go along, but it is his turn.
Hey there! Welcome aboard! My name is Jim. My son has been in Pensacola since June. He is also Aircrew and his rate will be AW. (Air Warefare) You have come to the right place. There are lots of guys and gals here that can share with you and help you. I know it's tough letting go, but your son will be fine. Congratulations on your son being an honor recruit. Good for him. I hear you about the PIR. Isn't it just the most wonderful thing to see? I had goose bumps on goose bumps when my son's division came through the door.

So if you have questions, we have the answers right here. The administrator of this site is a plethera of information. If we don't have the answer, we will get it for you. GO NAVY! HOOYAH!
Hi Tim,
I just joined this group so I am in the same boat as you so to speak. I don't all the Navy lingo. My son's graduation from boot camp was one of the proudest day's of my life too. My son went to A school in Virginia. He has been in the Navy now for almost 2 years and he love's it. From a parent's perspective I was nervous like you. I am comforted by the fact that the US Navy is the best in all the world and they prepare their sailor's for all they may encounter. There is a comraderie and brotherhood in the armed services. They watch out for each other. I still pray every day for all their safety but I do know they are in good hands. My son over the last 2 years has matured and grown into a fine young man. Its been a positive experience.
