My son -Drew is in the 238 div. and his Division wil be graduating on July 2nd. I was wondering will the SR be allowed to call before graduation day? It's been awhile since we have any contact with him either by mail or phone. Was not sure how often they are allow to call out.

You will receive a call when Battle Stations concludes....they will be "capped" and then be officially considered Sailors in the US NAvy. Carry your phone with you as they tend to be early calls! And they'll get to talk for some time--- but the conversation will be disjointed as they will on a high and totally wiped out at the same time....it's awesome!

Ed- Thanks- The hardest thing for me has been the lack of correspondence. even though he was at college this past couple of years at least I could pick up the phone and call him. Appreciate the help.

Just carry your phone with you (make sure it's constantly charged) because when you least expect it, he'll be calling you. Good Luck !

Our son graduated June 26th. He finished Battle Stations the day before and we got the "We are done' phone call just as we left the airport on the way to our hotel. The first thing he wanted after graduation was a Red Bull! Some finished Battle Stations the morning of Graduation and they were set in the stands so they would not pass out in formation. Even then three guys hit the deck during the ceremonies. Don't worry, there are plenty of Petty Officers watching.
