Navy Dads

Welcome to Navy Dads!

To all who read this: I have three sons and a daughter and the most amazing wife, Cindy.

One night my wife and I were sitting out back on our deck when our oldest son (Evan) sat down and joined us. He looked at us both and asked the question. "What do y'all think about me joining the Navy?". Wow! so many thoughts ran through my head all in an instant. During the conversation that night we weighed the pros and cons. In the end we told him that we would support any decision he made.

In just a couple of days after that conversation we watched him being sworn into the Navy. As a dad I began to research what would be in my son's future. I had so many questions about what life would be like for him in the Navy. After a lot of time researching on the web I found a site that answered most of my questions (navyformoms.com) It was the most informative site that I had come across.

When I first found the site I figured their was one for dads also. I typed in navyfordads.com but nothing. I typed in navydads.com and still nothing. I just knew their had to be a site for us dads but I was wrong. That night I bought the domain names and told my wife that I was going to start navydads.com for the other Navy Dads like myself. I knew I couldn't have been the only one.

Not knowing how to get started or where to start, I felt that this needed to be done. No matter what the cost or the time it will demand I know that navydads.com will help other fathers that follow behind me. My hope is that this site will help Navy Dads find the answers to their questions, share their concerns, and show how proud they are of their Sailor.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator
