If i remember right, my son came home the day he graduated, and was here for 2 weeks before he reported to Norfolk....

Eddie,

The same was true with us as Edward stated. Our son came home for two weeks after graduating A school.

Did he come home the day of graduation, or a few days after? My son just graduated this morning. He said his name wasn't on the list to come home yet. Can this happen?

Eddie,

my son left the day of graduation because his truck was there and he drove home. He said for Sailors that are flying home after A school it might take two or three days because they have to wait on the first flight out to where they're going.

My son flew home the day of graduation...We took the chance and booked his flight....We got lucy!!!!!!!!!!!

My son did not get leave after A school. He did however, get leave after C school. He was caught in the bad weather in the northwest December of 2008. He arrived home 8 days later the expected and left early to report to his first duty station.
