I heard that only up to four people can attend my sons graduation. Is this correct? Myself, my wife and 2 teenagers will fill that up. What if my son also wanted to include his grandmother? Can anyone help with that question?

Yes, that is true. However, Nick's girlfirend's mom came too, which made for 5. Since she wasn't on his list, they simply direct you to a line where they put you in a "waiting list" which only took about 10 minutes and she got a hand stamp and was able to enter and sit with us. But only 3 of us were allowed at the honor grad reception afterward so his girlfriend and her mom stayed behind in the bleachers. I will say the staff et al were very accomodating, helpful, respectful, and friendly. So if you have more than the 4, they would simply need to understand that if they can't get a stamp and enter, they would have to wait out in the car for a while. I'm sure they would accomodate a grandmother somehow though, because you will experience the most respectful people you have ever met! But there are no gaurantees either, but there sure seemed to be plenty of seats.

thans for the info....
No problem.
Two of the sailors in my daighters DIV put 3 of my family members on their list, because they had extra tickets.
I have a similar issue. I am divorced and my wife as well as my ex-wife's husband would like to attend. We would actually have six. As it stands, only me, my ex, and my two kids are listed. By the way, I see that Sean is also in Div. 058 on Ship 13 with my son Brian. I realized that they were on the same ship, but wasn't aware that they were also in the same division. It is a very small world!
Gary, I heard that sometimes other recruits on the same ship may have less than four attending graduation. Sometimes, they will help a fellow recruit out.

Thanks Eddie. I just sent a note off to my son letting him know that if anyone in his ship has unused seats to let him know so my wife and my ex's husband can attend. From what it sounds like, there may not be a problem anyway as they do have a "wait list" option there for folks not on the list to get a hand stamp.

I let my son know that your son is in his division and let him know that we've exchanged some postings on this site. I got my first real letter from my son yesterday. Needless to say, it made my day. It was rather lengthy, but reassuring. It seems that he is adjusting to boot camp life. Hope all is going well for you and hope to see you at PIR!
