...and it's a 10 minute drive to PIR, morning breakfast and coffee is included, and WI-FI for your computer for a few dollars per week. The NEX store is two blocks North and you can get basics for your stay and trip home including discounted fuel. (with a card from the lodge) Needless to say the security-safety is great, it's in the middle of the base housing on the base itself. Stayed there in August and can recommend without hesitation.

Yes. They give you a card at the front desk of the Navy Lodge that you present to the clerk at the NEX store for your purchases.

Awesome Mark.. thanks! Will have to look into that here very shortly, as on the navy.mil web site it looks like 6 divisions are graduating that day.. so it might fill up soon. I wonder how many rooms there are?

We will be staying with friends in the Chicago area, my wife and I were wondering about the shuttle to base so we can avoid driving and the long lines.

The folks at the Navy Lodge recommended taking a taxi, if you don't want to drive yourself.
