Hello All,
Just thought I'd start a topic/discussion on our son's upcoming PIR. Any others here? His mother and I plan on attending, haven't decided if we're flying or driving. Thinking we might just drive, partly because unlike other classes, they will be allowed to take liberty/leave till the 8th of January before he heads to supposedly Pensacola, FL. for A school.
So far I've booked a room at the Navy Lodge...and checked the flights, since its in the middle of the holidays fares are a bit crazy.
Looking forward to hearing from others.
Tim

Permalink Reply by Tim on January 3, 2012 at 8:37am So, just to close this thread. The PIR went off without a hitch. The place was packed and the bleachers are, well aluminum bleachers with about 32 feet between the aisles, and after about a 2+ hour wait and folks climbing in and out, the show got started. I truly have no idea why they start the entrance so early??
Oh well, our son did extremely well, as a section leader, he got promoted twice while there and left as an E3. So he is off to Pensacola after a few days here at home, it was great to have him back, if even for a little while.
Hope everyone else had a safe trip.
