there is a navy lodge on base and on Coronado Island. $75 day with kitchenet , very nice but you must have sailor present to get on base or have military ID. Look up navy lodge on internet then San Diego or North Island coronado.

The SD lodge is off I-5 on 28th street exit. on the left 1/4 mile after you exit freeway

There is a Navy Lodge. Your son can reserve a room. He needs to be there to sign you in unless you are military retired.I will look into the phone numbers over the next several days.

I highly recommend the Navy Lodge North Island Coronado. Great place to stay. Stayed there when my nephew got married.
