Scott, we also didn't get the ribbons or Blue Nose ceremony. We know we crossed the line and I guess that's what matters. I would love to see the pic of my ship in those waves. The antenna on the forward mast weighed 8 tons and as such, the ship had a roll over point of 42 degrees. We took a 44 degree roll, everyone thought we were going over, only to be righted by an equally big wave hitting us from the other side. I opened the door to the fantail and the waves looked like mountains. I am from West Virginia and know what mountains look like. LOL I have a pic of my cruise jacket that I am going to try to post. Navydads wouldn't accept it last night, so I am trying to change the file type.

I have a couple of friends who are retired Naval Officers. They both joined my lodge on the same night. After the ceremony, they compared notes, and found that they had often operated in the same theater, the North Atlantic. One of them was a destroyer officer, and the other a submariner on a Nuke.

The destoyer officer was Soviet Navy; the submariner was U.S. Navy. They played tag all around the ocean, trying to get a lock on each other's sonar signal. Times sure do change.
