Comment by Jim Ehler on October 8, 2011 at 10:33pm Our son just completed his first week of C school in Norfolk, and am happy to say he is very happy! He was really ready to get out of Great Lakes; his instructors there in A school told him to "bear with it", and things would be much better no matter where he went, and so far that seems to certainly be true. His school is much more challenging, but the 'mickey-mouse' stuff out side of school is gone. It's "work hard and take care of business, and we'll leave you alone so you can". Again, he is very happy with C school!

Comment by Larry Jenuwine on March 16, 2011 at 12:08pm Jack - The ship he is attached to, the DDG-100 USS Kidd, is based out of San Diego. From what he tells me that is where he will be when not on deployment. I totally understand your concern for your son's welfare. Hopefully things have calmed down over there by then. Hang in there Dad.
