Hi Steve, I don't know about wearing your old uniform but I can say mine probably doesn't fit any how. Our son also graduates from OCS Sept 30th. Our LO's must be in the same class 21-10

My son will be graduating from OCS in September and I have heard if you are a veteran you can wear your old uniform to the graduation. Anyone know anything about this.

Hi everyone, does anyone have a LO at R.I. class 21-10

My daughter (planning to pilot) is in 16-10 and called for the first time Sunday (yeah!). Then a letter arrived today (double-yeah!). Her least favorite time of the day is the three meal times ("taste? they don't give us time to taste."). I'm amazed by what our LOs are going through.

Hey there James
Thanks for the reminder about hotel rooms. I got our familiy's set up. They are all kind of pricey!
We will definitely continue to pray for them all. God is faithful.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy every minute of it. What an accomplishmnent!
We heard again tonight from our son who has just completed week 5. This week was much different than the previous 4. More school time and a lot of information to remember. He really enjoyed the Naval history part. We are planning to attend graduation 5/28 if all goes well.

Thanks for your encouragement. He also said he had a lot more responsibilty - I presume that means training the new indocs.

Our LO called tonight and it was a great call - an answer to prayer for both of us. He is just finishing the 4th week of Indoc (used to be 1 week, then was 3 weeks, now apparently is 4) and didn't have to roll into H class. From here forward, the chance of needing to roll is slight.
He's healthy and getting plenty to eat - said the food was actually very good, but they only eat at three specified times. The amount of sleep is the one bid defecit. He's glad he chose the Navy and should graduate 5/28. He also expressed how encouraging the cards and letters were but it's important to not send packages or food or anything but letters and newspaper clippings.
He said the norm is just one phone call during indoc, but in this phase he'll have more freedom to call. What a great relief and encouragement for us! We're so proud of him.

Hello everyone,
We just received a letter from our son, who started three weeks ago today. As we understand it, he has completed the "Indoc" phase and will move to more classroom and leadership training next. We received a three minute phone call, but could tell his words were guarded. We were very encouraged to hear that he's "hanging in there" and the rigor of the first three weeks has steeled his resolve.
I am very grateful to all of you for your contributions and for the website. Keep up the good work.
Anyone have an idea about graduation... any limit to how many family members can attend? Is it usually on Friday? And is it the Friday ending the 12th or 13th week?
Thanks
