Is there a special group for Power school or are we all staying in the NUKE group? Just wondering.

Those who are not familiar with the Chicago area, two absolute musts for pizza and hot dogs/burgers/Italian Beef is Rosati's Pizza and Portillo's Hot Dogs. No doubt Gino's is good but a visit to Chicago without Rosati's and Portillo's is a trip missing the best. Sorry, I'm a bit biased.

My son is coming home to San Diego tomorrow after graduating "A" school!! I am so excited. I miss him so much. 10 days. Hooray!! (Not sure how to spell the Navy version of that.)

Also I was just wondering? Is this group for Nuclear Power Sailors (ie; "A" school, Power School and Prototype?) Or for anyone on a Nuclear powered vessel? Thanks, Tim

My sons drivers license and truck registration is still in Texas. It was cheaper to leave it here vs South Caorlina. We have state farm, however all insurance companies can leave his/her primary residence in your home state and still live out of state, due to being in the military. Also in texas we have no state income tax, so no matter where is they are based, make sure his home stays the same. If he was to change residence to SC his taxes would be more.

Though Eric is stationed in Norfolk his SS is registered here in Arizona....as far as insurance, you may want to look into USAA (www.USAA.com) as they provide many types of insurance for miltary and retired military.

My son's license and car redistration is in his home state as well and the insurance company is handling it as well.......he also bought a bike and his insurance for that is through the navy - so he had to change his license to SC

Yes the vehicle stays licensed in his home state, we just told my son's insurance agent he was in the navy and going to be moving around and they handled it.
