It just gives him more freedom. He is allowed to go farther off base and stuff.

Can someone tell me what "phase 2 liberty" is? My son said that if he passes inspections this weekend, he will get phase 2 liberty, but he didn't explain it.

Thanks. You are right. Especially the last few sentences, I needed to hear. Hope he is in a group that does well. He is the team leader or something like that. So he really needs to make sure they do well. We shall see.... I believe in him. I'll have to ask him what they started at. Thanks for talking to me.

Sheryl...My son also started at 15/2s. As Mike and Scott said, if they do well on their tests, they get a break in hours. The negative side is if they score poorly. My son said someone in his class went up to 25/2s which really screwed up his liberty on weekends. However, they do try to help each student and give them the best opportunity to succeed. If the Navy didn't think they could do it, they would have never been chosen for Nuke school. All you can do is keep up the encouragement . They know what they need to do and have to find their own way to accomplish it. It's all part of growing up.

Sheryl to change your name go to settings on the top right of the screen, click on it. When it opens up, where it says full name change it to say Sheryl, instead of Sheryl Cooker and then go to the bottom of that page and click save. I just did it to my name twice to make sure it worked and it does.

The hours each sailor works will change through out his classes. Like Mike said it depends on how they do on each class. My sons went up and down constantly, he finally found a good number for him and forgot about if he was doing more then mandatory and he pretty much stayed the same.
