Carl,

My son is al GL now with the same PIR date in Division 802. He originally wanted to be a diver, changed his mind and has a SWCC contract. I know that the first phase of Diver training is at Great Lakes before moving to the next phase in Florida... She could wait at GL for some time before classing up.

My son is a diver in Guam and he was there for a little over a week before dive prep started. A lot depends on the number from the graduating classes from boot camp. He had 41 in his class of which 13 made it to Panama City. Good luck to your daughter, there aren't many women divers as it is pretty demanding physicaly and mentally.

Thanks for the info. My daughter is still waiting but seems to be settling in well.  The wait just gives her more prep time before class starts.
