Hello folks. My son just started his tour on the Regan Dec. 8th. We are so proud of him. He is only 18, but what a difference the NAVY has made in him already. Thank you, and we hope to keep in touch. If anyone has info on how to participate in a Tiger Cruise, please e-mail us or leave a message. Go NAVY!

Not all ships have Tiger Cruises on reutrn from cruise....if they do, your son will have to submit your name, you'll have to fill out some medical history paperwork and then they will make the decision if you can participate....typically 2 months before return to the US plans start to firm up......let your sailor know you want to go if they have one
Hey Walter, my son is a "Nuke" on the USS Reagan. I was fortunate to be able to go on a Tiger Cruise in September from Honolulu to San Diego. It was a blast and well worth it and I would encourage anyone who is interested in going to do so! I believe the Reagan is going to be in maintenance for about 12 months starting sometime in January so you will more than likely not be able to find out much about an upcoming cruise for some time. Not much specific info is available until shortly before the Tiger Cruise takes place. I would encourage you to check out the pictures and videos though on Navy Dads to see some of the really cool things you would be doing!

Permalink Reply by Walter Skinner on December 11, 2011 at 1:11pm thank you Mr. McConnell. I heard their to be in Bremerton WA. for a while. Maybe I'll take a trip up in the summer, try to catch a Red Sox / Mariners game with my son.

Check out the Bravo Zulu! USS Bainbridge blog and watch the must see video about the Bainbridge.
