Signing Bonus

My grandson has been in the Navy for almost a year without any mention of the "signing bonus" the recruiter "promised. Has any one else had this problem or do I not under stand the procedure?Also, he is now stationed on a foreign military base which doesn't have a chow hall. Do you know of any one in a similar situation who is getting extra money to eat on? His mother is going broke trying to keep him in food money.See More

I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank your grandson for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet.

I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). Chat on Navy Dads

The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
