Hey Jim Andrew is going to be a Master at Arms (Navy Police). He is at Lackland AFB. TX. 0630 is when I am normally at work between 0600-0630 I commute an hour so I am normally up at 0345. I get back home around 1800-2100 depending. I generally do not go into the plant on Saturday or Sunday, those are my family days, I will always take phone calls and e-mails life in middle management. I think PIR would have been much more emotional had we not seen Andrew the week before at Thanksgiving. What does your sailor do?

Sounds like you all had a good time. Pretty emotional isn't it? I will admit that I did not keep it together during my son's PIR. 0630 huh? Man, thats early! I missed what Andrew is going in to. Where is A school?

Dave! I love the picture of the 13 buttons! Well!?!? How much did you enjoy your time at Great Lakes for the PIR? I would love to attend one again. Looks like it was pretty cold there. Your family looks great! Thanks for the pictures.

Hey Dave! You probably know by now that ND is keeping Charlie. Actually, I think it is the right thing to do and just hope it gets better for him and the team.

So, are you stoked about going to PIR this Friday? My son's was in May, and I remember it like it was yesterday. I had goose bumps on goose bumps! My son's division was the first one in the door that day. Have a good time with your new sailor. After you all clear out of the hall, you can go to the NEX and eat. There is Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, I think. Or go off base and take him out some place good. GO NAVY!

only a coupld of days left!! You know I've been through two PIRs and I get just as stoked for yours as I did for mine....this NavyDads stuff is addictive.....you'll see lower and upper balcony seating...I sat lower both times and now wish I had gone balcony...Mucho better photos from up there I would think....scope things out when you walk in the hall and take tons of pics...remeber no photos outside anytime...but you can take more in MCPON Hall after PIR...........

Dave, thanks for your comments, yeap I bleed Hurricane Orange and Green even though I graduated from FIU. My son is with the Delayed Entry Program. I am trying to pay for his braces, have them taken off so that he can leave for Great Lakes in February. He is supposed to then go to Pensacola, Florida to study for Aviation Electronics something?

I am glad that you enjoyed my page. I am all about my family, my country and my God. I was born in Cuba in 1961 and came over in 64. I pray for her Freedom and I am proud of my heritage but I bleed U.S. of A Red, White and Blue. I am in love with America. I am 100 Pro-Life, Conservative Republican and I listen to Rush everyday.

I am also very proud of my son's decision to join the Navy, I have to admit, he needs it also. Dave keep in touch and God Bless. Luis

P.S. Notre Dame has to get rid of the Fat Guy in order to win.

Well sounds like your wife has a twin but you got the better half!! I had to ask cuz kat was a good friend of mine and we lost touch. So your Sailor PIR is next week! Wow! You will be amazed ! I was totally into it! The DVD just came over a week ago from my daughters PIR and hers was oct 3rd. I was Army so never saw a Ceremony like this before in my life and I was so glad I was able to go. I only wish my husband could have been there to see it live instead of on a dvd, but he is in Nascar and they needed him at Talladega. He is under Howie on navydads here. He was a gunners mate in the Navy. I met him 3 months after he got out. We have been married 21 years this month dec 17th. We raised 4 daughters and a son. Have 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. My husband is from Oregon and I am from Washington State. We have been in North Carolina since Dec 2000. So your son has not had battlestations yet then?! Have you seen the video for it? It was on CBS and is on youtube but not sure if you have to type in battlestations or navy battlestations I will have to check again and get it to you. I thought it was very informative and gave me a good idea of what my daughter was going to do. She like it it. She said for her it was easy. The hard part for her was passing her fitness run. You will find that the dads here have alot of great information, and are very supportive of you and your Sailor. Be sure to share lots of pics of your Sailor here for us. We love pics and E.G. our creator is great at making videos of our sailors on here from pics and will be making more. Check out his 2 videos he made on here. They are awesome!! We just met him and his wife while we were down in Pensacola, Fl-Gulf Shores, Al for Thanksgiving. We went down to see out daughter and have a few Sailors join us who could not be with their Families for the holiday. Enjoy your time with your Sailor and have a great week!!

Hello Dave! You can talk about Charlie all you want. The ND alumni is ready to run him out of town on a rail. I don't know how much of the contract is still owed on Ty. I'm sure once that is paid off, Charlie will be gone. He already has a worse record than Bob Davie, or Ty. My oldest son was in the ND band in 2003 under Ty. He was really dissapointed that they didn't get to go to a bowl.

I hope you enjoy PIR on Friday. It is a wonderful sight to see. Take lots of pictures INSIDE and have a good time!
