Describe a little about yourself:: Father of 4, grandfather of 3 (1 more in April 09), oldest is only daughter, son in Navy is next to youngest. Love sports, being outdoors, and time with family.

What brought you to this site:: My son is currently serving

What were your feelings when your Sailor joined the Navy:: Very proud, and honestly a little nervous considering the current state of all our military. But knowing he is doing what he loves, and doing what he feels is his duty, helps me feel good about his choice.

What is your relationship with your sailor: dad

I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is almost two months into a seven-month deployment on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat just returned from her seven-month deployment on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). I see that you have joined a group, jumping right in and getting involved I like that. Check out some of the other groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here; we even have been known to brag on them a bit. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is in Everett, WA. stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Nathan for his service to this great country. Thank you for raising a fine young man.

I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. Chat on Navy Dads

The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
