My wife, my son and our Navy daughter were on their way to board the Carrier. They all were able to spend yesterday together, snorkling, walking the beaches and browsing the shops on or near the beach. I'm happy they are having a great time…

Glen, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you joined a group. Check out some of the other groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Ashley for her service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a fine young woman.
Glen, I was stationed on Okinawa, of course I was in the Air Force and it was during the Vietnam War.

Welcome to NavyDads Glen! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what she is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Glen this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Ashley is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Glen, Welcome Aboard! I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your daughters journey in the Navy. Thank Ashley for her service for me and thanks again for joining us.
Sincerely, EG
