Howdy Jackie - I apologize I have been busy on another website that my son has gotten me addicted too lol. Anyways I did find out that Wes is also an ATO but says they don't mess with the 'O', probably why I didn't know about it hehe. How is Nick getting along in Pensacola? My son told me the other day he may have his orders now before Thanksgiving so that means I still won't get to see him :( , I was planning to drive there for the holiday. Hope you are doing well also, let me know what is new. God Bless, Michele :)

I see, my son never mentioned the O or I. . .I am guessing he must be the O also, because he will be off to C-school eventually due to the hold up. He told me it could be a month or two before he gets his orders. I will have to ask him which letter he is next time I talk to him hehehe.

Jackie - Great to have you on this site and also another parent that is in the same rating as my son :). I have been getting most of my information from Kevin (USN logo as his picture), he is a retired Chief and was an AT also. I noticed you have ATO as your son's rating, what does the 'O' stand for? My son called me last night and said he finished A-school (Wed. 10-29-08) and will have their ceremony Friday (Halloween). He said that he will probably still be in Pensacola for awhile 'on hold' waiting for his orders of his next command and C-school. Will your son be going directly to Pensacola or will he stay in Great Lakes like my son did for the computer based part first? I will be here for you if you have any questions :). I usually get to check my page at least once a day, my teenage daughter has it all the other times lol. Well Welcome Aboard! God Bless, Michele :)

Jacki O, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad you have joined us. I see that you have joined a group, jumping in and getting involved, I like that. Take a look at some of the other groups and the discussions that are going on. This is your site to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little too. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is in Everett, WA. stationed on the Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Nick for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you and your husband for both of your service to this great country and for raising a fine young man.

Welcome to NavyDads Jacki! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is a month into a seven-month deployment on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat just returned from her seven-month deployment on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Jacki this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Nick is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Jacki I'm so glad you decided to join. This site and n4m's is full of knowledge and people willing to help others like their self. It really is a endless book of knowledge. We have some great moms on this site that feel the same way you do. My wife lives in a house of men and tends to like what us guys do. So she fit in best here. Your are not alone in feeling that way. Us dads love and welcome our moms on this site. I thank your son, husband, and yourself for the service y'all have provided to this country. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. I am willing to share the little knowledge I have. Thanks again for joining us.
