What is or will be your sailor's rate (job classification) - ex. ABE, AM, GM, etc: SO & SO

Describe a little about yourself:: Happily married for 26 years. My wife and I have two children (two sons, and the Navy has them both!). We live in Wisconsin. Our oldest son graduated with SEAL Class 278 Aug 2010, he's now SEAL Team 2. Our youngest is now at Coronado with BUD/S Class 289. "PROUD" doesn't begin to describe my feelings!

What brought you to this site:: My son is currently serving

What were your feelings when your Sailor joined the Navy:: A bit sad to see them go -- but very happy for both of them. Their dedication to their goals is impressive -- as is the Navy's commitment to transform them into Navy SEALs!

What is your relationship with your sailor: Dad

Please share: how did you find us?: My wife joined navyformoms.com about a 2-1/2 years ago. I was thrilled to learn of your site and came aboard not long after! I truly enjoy connecting with other Navy Dads. Thank you!

At 2:59pm on December 15, 2010, Sr said…: Thanks Jerry M, My son Jr just left for boot camp on Dec 8 I know it's only been a week but it seems like months Jr and I were great friend together, I'm so proud of that kid. After boot camp Jr will be going in the Navy Seals. Jr had is mind set on joining the Navy and Navy Seals for about 3 years. Just got his address on Dec13 and my wife and I sent about a dozen letters, I think I'm like many dads wondering what he is doing. and like I said I'm so proud of him.

To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
