The cruise was awesome. The racks were an eye opener( I will never tell my son to save money by staying on board while in home port again). Arriving at SD was incredible. The only thing I would do different is give the sailors more room on the deck…

I saw the info e-mail my sailor got. But no confirmation. We booked our flights with the insurance,$10.00 for cancellation.

We made our flight reservations with the cancellation insurance in case we are not selected. The paperwork states they will confirm in early March. Not much time to plan.
No idea where to stay but planning on seeing some site while there.

My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Chat on Navy Dads
The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
