Just an update. Tyler's orders were changed last week. Instead of Miami he is going to England. He is thrilled but his Mom and I are a little sad that he will be so far away.
How is everyone doing
I just thought I would drop a note and see how all the AZ Sailors are doing. My son Tyler has started C school in Dam Neck VA and will be graduating from that in June. From there he will be stationed in Miami at South Comm for the next 3 years. He is pretty excited about his orders and he is anxious to get to Miami.

Tyler is coming home tomorrow. He gets a week off from A School in Dam Neck, VA. I think he has been pretty bored at school because it has been shut down for the Holidays since the 18th. I know he has plenty of time to practice his video game skills…

- Kevin, we had a great time. PIR is an awesome thing! We had about 7 hours with my son before he flew out to Pensacola. He too had full liberty for the weekend. I was supposed to have flown down there, but he told me I better not just incase he couldnt get time. Needless to say I was very disappointed I didnt go. I will go with my gut instinct next time!

I read that there were no graduations on October 23. Maybe it was an error? Anyway, I think it is supposed to be the following week (10/30). It might be possible to make a phone call to the Recruit Training Command
Public Affairs Office to double check that 10/23 is in fact a valid date.

And Kevin this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Tyler is doing! My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. Chat on Navy Dads
The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
