- I'm a mom of 5. All of them out on their own. I work at our local school, with Kindergarten kids. I love to do all kinds of crafts, and am learning how to do home repairs.

- my son is recently enlisted, My son is currently serving

- I was very excited and proud of the choices that they have made.

Navydads co-admin (Terry) said… - Laurie, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. We are here to support and encourage each other because we are all going through the same things. We love and support our sailors and we are interested in what they are going through and this is a place we can ask questions and get answers from those that have gone through it already. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Robert and Michael for their service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a couple of fine young men.

If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what they are going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is almost half-way into a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat just returned from her seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). Chat on Navy Dads
The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
