Navydads co-admin (Terry) said… - JAM’sMom, I would have JAM check with her chief to see what should be done along those lines. Her chief will know all of the things that should be taken care of before heading over seas. A power of attorney is so that you can conduct business for her here while she is over seas. So if there is some things that would need to be taken care of on her behalf than it might be a good thing. The Navy is very good at taking care of their people.

- Louise, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Josephine for her service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet.

I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your granddaughters journey in the Navy. Chat on Navy Dads
The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
