Russel, I have some communication from the ombudsman of our sons' boat that describes the naming convention for email addresses as well as how to send them mail/packages while they are at sea. I'd like to sent it to you, but I'm still new to this site so I don't know how to find your email address on here. I'll contact the admin as see if that's possible.

Russel, hello! I'm glad to see someone else who has a son aboard the New Hampshire. How long has your son been a member of the crew. My son Nathan came aboard when the boat first came to Groton.

I'll be happy to share any news I get. We just got back in touch with the ombudsman and should be getting the monthly news letter again soon by email. I have her contact info if you need it. She said the May letter is late getting out because they are waiting on a letter from the captain.

I'm sure you're as anxious as we are about this first deployment. Not knowing much............, well, it just isn't any fun.

Russell, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you have been busy. Check out some of the groups and some of the other discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force 5 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Travis for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a fine young man.

I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72).
