Joseph, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you have joined a group. I like that, jumping in and getting involved. Check out some of the other groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Brian and Brandon for their serves to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for your serves to this great country as well, and welcome home. Thank you for raising two fine young men.
I was in the Air Force as a weapons mechanic from 71 to 75.

Joseph this site is still fairly new and we unfortunately don't have much info on CS. I do know that their are a couple of parents who have CS's on here but I'm not sure which ones. If I were you, I would start a discussion asking if anyone has a child doing the same rate. In the mean time you can read post on the n4m's site in the culinary specialist group. You should be able to find the answers your looking for there. I will also start a CS group on here to post info. That way you can add info to this site as you learn and experience about CS.

So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Brian and Brandon for their service for me and yours as well. Thanks again for joining us. Sincerely, EG

Welcome to NavyDads Joseph! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what they are going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Joseph this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Brian and Brandon are doing! And Joseph- thank you for your service to our great country. Best Regards- Paul
