Navy Dads

My son is in Div. 149 on the USS John F. Kennedy. If any of you get any information pertaining to their PIR status please share with me. My wife and I are planning to make the drive to Chicago. If they are going to be a grad and go I need to scale back the plans my wife and sister are making.

My son is also in 149 and i got a letter from him on the 17 of march. He said he was grad and go and now we dont know if we are going to his pir. He said he would only have an hour or two and then flys to Charleston. We hate missing it but we live near orlando,fl it would be a long 18hr drive for only two hrs. instead we will go to Charleston and spend his first time off there. I am going to order the video and pics

Well we received our first letter from Terrell and a 40 minute phone call today. He pulled a chest muscle swimming and they have him on limited duty for two days. He says the entire division is doing as well as can be expected. He says they have a lot of pressure on them. Prior to them getting to GL their current RDC won the last Commanders Cup. He expects to win it again. He says two recruits were sent back to P-Days. I’m not sure what that means. You can’t process in twice. He doesn’t know if their division is grad and go yet. They haven’t given them that kind of information. All he knows is they are still on schedule to make the April 10 PIR. He scored a 97 on his ASVAB so he though he was the cats meow until he ran into two people who outscored him. He says they both want Nuke MM so he feels better about his chances getting Nuke ET. He loves the food. I don’t know how is mother is going to feel about that. Due to a couple people having PT troubles they’re restricted from any sweets. I guess he is rethinking if I really was rough on him by now. He went in an E-3 so he is in charge of the laundry room, watch duty and something else that doesn’t come to mind. He brags about how clean the laundry room is. After threatening him repeatedly about his bedroom I don’t know how I feel about that. He informed me that there were 10 people in his division from Texas including 2 RDC’s. I don’t know what to make of that. Overall he sounded extremely upbeat, proud and adjusted. I can relax now.
