Navy Dads

Hi, my oldest son is in BC and my youngest in 4th grade. I was wondering if my son's class writes notes/letters to recruits in my sons division how can I send it/address it? Hope someone can help with this, thank you so much

that's an interesting question.....let me ponder on that.  Knowing RTC's policy on handling mail I'm not sure how to answer.....

We always preach to never send anything that won't fit in a flat envelope.  If you send a number of those letters in a single envelope that is not too think, think you would be ok.....if you have a whole bunch split them up and send several large envelopes instead of one thick large envelope.....

All mail is OK. Just nothing too flashy, and no cards that make noise. They really love the mail!

Great, thank you for advice but, how do I address it? Should I send it to my sons name and then make a note on the envelope that it is for the Division? or something else...so sorry to bug you guys like this, but little son is so excited that his big bro is in the Navy and the whole class is excited also and I do believe that they can put smiles on our recruits faces.

don't ever apologize for asking a question! could give you exact advice if he were in the fleet...I would address to him and let him know the letters are for the division. If he is in doubt how to handle them when he gets them, he can talk to the RCPO or RLPO http://www.navydads.com/group/bootcamp/page/recruit-division-comman... and ask them to help spread them around the division, especially to the recruits that get little or no mail.

That is what I will do, and these 4th graders are bunch of amazing kids, they will do a good job bringing smiles to their tired faces. THANK YOU SO MUCH

thank you for raising such great Americans!

thats so sweet what you can do is when you send your son his letters send some extras with attn: Future Sailor Or Dear recruit etc for your son to pass out you would be surprised how many have no one to write to or family support thats why theres a site on here to for adopting sailors
