the racks are plent long Robwert....maybe 6'6" or 6'8"....problem is there is no way to sit up in them so it takes some wiggling to in and out....for some reason I cannot post this as a photo but this is a good photo of the berthing on the Roosevelt...I had the bottom rack....

Hey Robert...I gotta ask...bottom, middle or top rack? If you haven't read my blog about trying to get into and out of the bottom rack, do so....I still laugh about it!!

David- your son will have to take care of those arrangements...IF they have a cruise he will sign you up with command. You'll have to fill out a medical screening form as shown in the discussion forum links. If approved your son will forward you details...mind you these cannot be sent by e-mail as they detail in-port dates so patience is the key. Let your son know you want to do a cruise if they have one....the Navy seem to be cutting back on some of these cruises and remember that things are subject to change as needs arise...prepare to be flexible with travel dates....
