The OPM person (Office of Personnel Management) was in our neighborhood about a month ago. They even interviewed my wife and me. That was strange to be answering questions about our son's background, competence and integrity. We have no idea…

Tony, Our priority posts we sent have both arrived in Monterey, but our son had to go to wherever they get their mail and ask if any packages had arrived for him. They do not get notified by anyone when a package arrives.

Bob,

Welcome to the Cryptology group. You will find every person on these boards very helpful. There are some great videos to watch. My daughter will be leaving next week for A school and is slated to be a CTI. Because of the nature of what our children are training to do, we need to be cautious about posting specifics about their training. Specifics can be communicated through more confidential methods such as internal email.

Have a great day,
Tony

Bob, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you have joined a group. Check out some of the other groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Jim for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a fine young man.

Welcome to NavyDads Bob ! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what hr is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Bob this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Jim is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Bob, Welcome Aboard! I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Jim for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.
Sincerely, EG
