I was rooting for ya (Ohio St) but USC is a monster. I'm an Ole Miss fan here. We don't have a prayer in the SEC. Week four! Matt is half way home. I don't think he'll get a break until he leaves Great Lakes.lol Not much sleep for the recruits. He'll make it. My son just reached his ship today ( USS Ronald Reagan ) it's somewhere in the middle east. So I've recently been through boot camp ( PIR May 20th ), through A school in Pensacola, packed him up and sent him to San Diego (his new home), and now he's been deployed (middle east). It's been a whirlwind these past 6 months. So I'm just little ahead of you. If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask. Keep me posted on Matt's progress as I'll be pulling for him as well. ttyl

John thanks for joining. I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud navy dads just like myself. Thank your Son for his service for me. Good luck and thanks again for joining. EG (p.s. it's gonna be a good game tonight)

John,” Welcome Aboard”. I am glad you have joined us. Take some time and look around the site. Get involved with some of the discussions and join some of the groups. Maybe start a discussion or a group of your own. This is your site to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors and we are here to support and encourage each other. After all we are in this together. I have two sons and both of them are in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago and my oldest joined the Navy. He is in Everett, WA. and is going to be stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Matt for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising such a wonderful young man to love this country and serve in the finest Navy ever to sail the oceans of the world.
