My son graduated from A school last Thursday and he called today to tell us he got verbal orders today.  He is going to be stationed at Pearl Harbor.

My son reported to RTC on Aug 24thship 3 Div 347 PIR is 10/14. He is in a "push" Div and will only be at RTC for 7 weeks. We got our 1st letter from him today.

Wanting to get a "Packing Party" going here in the Triad for our sailors... Let me know where you live so we can figure out the best place to have it. Would like to get one started by spring! We can even see about getting our Schools involved or Scouts helping too!

mine went through Raleigh. About three of them went through boot camp together, but then were separated because of their ratings. They do get friends that they stay in touch with even when they are deployed overseas or at sea. They will have friends if they so choose because everybody is dependent on each other. Mine has been away from home for over a year now and his friends still stay in touch.
