Welcome to NavyDads Dana ! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Dana this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Tristan is doing! Best Regards- Paul

Dana, I will pass along your thanks to my boys. My dad was in WWII, Army and my brother was in the Navy during Vietnam. I was in the Air Force during the last part of Vietnam. I also had uncles in during WWII and Korea. I am glad that Tristan loves it. Paul is thinking about becoming an officer. We’ll see. He was in college but lost direction and left college one or two semesters short of his degree. He plans on finishing it in the service. We will have to see about that two. Any way, you take care and we will talk again soon.

Dana, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you have joined a group, I like that jumping in and getting involved. Check out some of the other groups and discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love talking about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Tristan for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. And thank you for raising a fine young man.
