NavyDads Admin (Paul) said… On many (but not all) ships, on return from deployment, direct family (limited to two people) can cruise on the ship with their sailors as they return to their homeport. For Pacific fleet, the cruise is typically Pearl Harbor to San Diego and/or sometimes San Diego to Washington state. For the Atlantic fleet from Mayport, LF to Norfolk. Not all ships do this and you must be sponsored by your sailor on the ship....there is a small fee for food. Until about half-way through deployment your sailor won't know if they will have a Tiger Cruise.
NavyDads Admin (Paul) said… Don't ever worry about the language issue Rosa...we all understand! And we may call ourselves NavyDads, but we welcome all Navy supporters here .... thank you for joining and thank Alexis for serving!
NavyDads Co-Admin, Jim said… As far as who can go on a Tiger Cruise, you have to be sponsored by your sailor. You need to check with your sailor however. I think I read some place where if you are a woman that your sailor must be a woman and so forth. But when the time comes, there is information that your sailor can send you about who can and can't go. You should talk to Paul, our administrator. He's been on one with his son on the Abraham Lincoln.
