I am so sad. Waiting to speak to my son later today. I just miss my husband. This is the longest we have been apart since April 27, 1983.

My son was on the Reagan out of SD for 5 years. He and a friend rented an apt when they were not on extended deployment. He is enlisted , E-5. They went and got a letter to break the lease when they were going to be gone for 6 months or more.

Justen's stress test was good. Has exercise induced asthma and was given an inhaler. We are ok no flooding at our house. But our little town has a lot of damage.
Well passed the stress test made it to finish. Dr thinks he has exercise induce lung restriction. (ASTHMA) Gave him an inhaler.

- Old Hospital Corpsman. I have been a nurse for 30 years. My son and I are close. His father is Navy retired. We spent the first 2 years of his life with Dad mostly out to sea. My husband died suddenly 09/17/2010. Son is due for shore duty. Will know soon where to for sure. Just playing hurry up and wait the Navy's favorite game.

Cora said… - Sleeping is hard when your used to having your spouse next to you all those years. When Howie is out of town I have a hjard time sleeping. It's very tough when you lose someone you have had for so long who was your best friend and partner for life and suddenly your alone. I can understand how hard it is for you and the sleepless nights you must be having. Try to take cat naps during the day if you can just to try and get some rest. It's the grief of loss that takes the toll on your body. When my first husband died in a car wreck at age 19 it took me over two years before I even was able to think about getting my life together. It was a spiritual awakening for me and thus began my life starting over again, but then I was younger and had not been married or with him as long as you were and you have many happy, good, warm memories to help carry through this and I hope you focus on the all that is good to help you gain your strength again.

To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it.
