Kevin, That is an amazing picture of the USS Texas & San Jacinto Monument. I lived just a few miles from in there 90s but I have never seen it quite like that. God speed to all of our sailors where ever they may be.

Same here waiting on confirmation. Our sailor has informed us that all is good with the medical and that payment has been made. Travel plans are made we are ready to go.

My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. We have a Tiger Cruise group...go to Groups at the top of the page and you can search for the group....there are a number of blogs and slide/video shows about the TR's cruise early last year.

Chat on Navy Dads
The chat feature on Navy Dads has changed a little. To enter into the chat room click on were it says Navy Dads (44 members online) then type your post in the box and hit enter to make the post show up. When you are done click the the arrow by the person icon and the chat box will be hidden again. The chat feature can also be found on the main page. Just scroll down till you see it. The chat will also make a two note sound when someone posts a comment so you know when the chat is active.…
