"My son, a CTN, is at the puzzle palace in MD (as David R called it).  Lots of CTN's there.  His roommate is a CTI and apparently there are plenty of them there too.  Bill - your daughter will likely end up there as well."

"Tell him to get used to waiting around.  It seems to be the Navy way.  My son waited even longer to get started "on the job" at this first duty station than he waited to "Class Up" at Corry.  :)  "

Ok, I took it off so you don't have to look at it all summer. By the fall, the Cubs probably will be on vacation as they won't be playing. By then Wrigley will have collapsed. A co-worker was there a while back and he said that they have big nets hanging all over the place so you don't get hit in the head with cement that falls.

Welcome aboard Jim! So glad that you have joined us. I can’t add very much to what Paul and E.G. have said, but wanted to pop in here and say hello. Be sure to join the groups that will follow what William is doing with the Navy. If you have questions, usually you can find what you’re looking for here. See you around the fleet!

Jim, Welcome Aboard!

When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit fathers that follow behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank William for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.

Sincerely, E.G.

Welcome to NavyDads.com Jim! I'm sure you'll find NavyDads.com as useful, educational and informative as I have. Please explore the site and make some new Navy friends. Be sure to read the discussions add your comments or start a new discussion. Browse through the postings in the various groups or start a new one. I certainly have! If you have any comments, questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...be sure to post them! In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) just completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Jim this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how William is doing! Please remember that we talk about the Navy here and we must keep the security and safety of our sailors and the fleet in mind at all times. On the right side of every NavyDads.com page is an area we call About This Site. Please take a minute and read through the Operations Security (OPSEC) link for some guidelines as to what we should and should not talk about in a public forum like NavyDads.com. And stop by the NavyDads offical store- Navyoutfitters.com! Show your support for NavyDads.com by wearing the latest in NavyDads attire. Best Regards- Paul
