Terry, I have spent alot time rooting around this site for PIR tips and have decided that out of all of my rooting around on this site and others that this site had the best and most up to date info I apprecitate you having this site and giving us dads a place to discuss our children I can tell you this that the day Chris left was the worst day of my life and coming on here and talking about it with other dads and moms sure made it alot easier. Thanks for all you do.

Tim- I noted you are heading for a PIR this week....you're gonna love it and you'll feel ten-feet tall. I hope you spent some time rooting around the site here for tips and hints to make the experience that much better.

When you get back...and land back on earth...be sure to share your experiences and thoughts on Chris' PIR. Paul

Tim, I wanted to take this moment and thank you for your service to this great country. The sacrifices that you made have not gone unnoticed on this upcoming Veterans Day. It is because of you and others like you that we enjoy the freedoms that we have. I salute you!

Tim, “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. Take a look around the site and getting involved with some groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here we even brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is in Everett, WA. stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank Chris for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for your service as well and thank you for raising a fine young man.

Tim, Welcome Aboard!. I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud navy dads just like myself. Thank your son for his service for me and yours as well. Thanks again for joining. Sincerely, EG

Welcome to NavyDads Tim! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is a month into a seven-month deployment on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat just returned from her seven-month deployment on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Tim this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Chris is doing!

Best Regards- Paul
