I'm not real familiar with the cadet program. I followed the link you put up and did discover that we have a unit right here! That's very cool about your Stephen. Sounds like he is farther along than my Stephen is. By December of 2008, he was just still in NACCS in Pensacola with VP-30.
We love it when a new group fires up that we don't have! I hope you can attract more people to it. Thanks for sticking with us for all this time!

Hello Karla. Kinda funny, I just read your profile. Looks like you've been here a while. My son's name is Stephen too and is an AWO on the P-3 also stationed in Jax. He's with VP-45. The Pelicans.

Karla, I agree with you. I have been a Air Force dad for over 4 years and a Navy Dad for 5 months, Jane and I are empty nesters and still adjusting to that but, as you said, it seems to agree with both of them and that helps make it easier. Not easy just easier. That’s why I like this site we can all relate and we are all here for one another. Thank you for being here for us Karla. Keep your chin up.

Karla, “Welcome Aboard”. I am so glad you found this site. We are here to show off our sailors and to encourage each other. We also find that we have questions and I am glad you have joined a group; I think you will find it very helpful. This site is for you to use and enjoy please don’t hesitate to ask or answer any questions. I have two sons both of which are in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is now finishing “A” school. Please thank Stephen for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet.
