Mari, I noticed your question in the Ask A Sailor group but I'm not sure of how many or how often the Sailors check the group. My son also attended A school in P'cola. They do get weekend liberty. You can go visit him anytime you want just make sure he doesn't have watch that weekend. He will be able to travel up to 300 miles from base if his chit is approved at the beginning. Depending on the time spent in P'cola, he will eventually be able to fly home no matter how far it is if he's there for a long period of time. Hope this helps a little.

Mari “Welcome Aboard”. I am glad that you have joined us. I see that you have jumped in and gotten involved, I like that. Check out some of the other groups and some of the discussions that are going on. This site is for you to use and enjoy. We love to talk about our sailors around here and we have been known to brag on them a little. We are also here to support and encourage each other. After all we are all in this together. I have two sons and they are both in the military. My youngest joined the Air Force over 4 years ago. My oldest joined the Navy and is stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN 72. Please thank your son for his service to this great country from an old Vietnam Vet. Thank you for raising a fine young man. I know that you and Luis are very proud. Your pride will grow at PRI. I know you will enjoy seeing your son in uniform and standing tall.

Mari I wanted to stop by to tell you that you have a very proud husband. I've enjoyed having Luis with us since the beginning and I'm glad you decided to join us too. I hope y'all have a great time at PIR. I can't wait to see the pics from graduation. Talk to you soon.
